A Grand Junction man is set to appear on Steve Austin's 'Broken Skull Challenge' TV show on CMT. This is Zack Vogel.

KEKB Morning Guy, Keyes, had a chance to chat with Zack in studio Thursday morning and find out what the experience was like out on the Broken Skull Ranch. Zack's episode doesn't air until Tuesday Nov. 21, so he couldn't divulge what actually happened, but he did tell us what it was like to be out there.

Originally from Wisconsin, now living in Grand Junction,  Zack talked to me about how he applied for the show, the audition process, how awesome Steve Austin is and some of the behind the scenes we don't see on TV.

Zack is a super cool guy. I can't wait for his episode to air. But, the one thing that really got to me was a quote that he said he shares in his fitness world.

"You can do anything for 24 days. You can do anything for 24 hours. And you can do anything for 24 minutes."

That is a powerful statement.

If you are unfamiliar with the program, it is without doubt, the most physically and mentally tough reality-type show on TV. In it's 5th season, former WWE superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin gathers the toughest of the tough from across the country to compete against each other tournament style for a shot $10,000. Each week 8 lucky men and women are selected to give it their all in such events called Trench Warfare, Boulder Press, The Wake, Stress Test and others.

The lone competitor that survives each week wins a shot at what is called The Skull Buster. An obstacle like no other in the world.

I get exhausted just watching these clips!
