National Dress Up Your Pet Day is observed each year on January 14.

This day was created to celebrate our furry friends, and support the pet fashion community.

  • If your pet just doesn’t like dressing up, let them sit this holiday out. (If your pet is making the same face in the picture above, this is probably the best tip.)
  • Be sure it fits. Restricting movement or ability to breathe can cause injury or illness.
  • Many pets like to chew. Avoid loose or dangling pieces which can cause choking hazards.
National Dress Up Your Pet Day was started in 2009 by Celebrity Pet Lifestyle Expert and Animal Behaviorist, Colleen Paige.
If you are someone who dresses up your pets, take a picture! Share it with us at KEKB. Keyes & Riley will be doing a Photo Friday segment of animals in human style.
Do you enjoy dressing up your pets? Is it for function or fashion?
