This morning we had the privilege of stopping by Thunder Mountain Elementary to surprise Allison Carter as she was named January's Village Inn teacher of the month.

Mrs. Carter is loved by each one of her students and that was evident as they were all so excited to see the joy on her face. We had Mrs. Carter called to the office shortly after school began for the day, she had no idea why she was being called in. Fearing the unknown tears began rolling down her face, and those quickly switched to tears of joy as all of her students yelled "SURPRISE" as she walked into the cafeteria.

There is no doubt that Mrs. Carter deserves this recognition and it was overwhelming to see how many of her students wanted to give her a big hug and congratulate her on being awarded the teacher of the month.

The prizes that she won include prizes include a $50 gift card to Village Inn, a $50 Visa gift card from Farmers Insurance the Josh DeWitt Agency, a $20 Starbucks gift card, an insulated tumbler from Carville's Automart, a one-hour massage from Rimrock Wellness, a goodie basket from All Copy Products, a fresh fruit bouquet from Willy's Wild Carvings, a skating party for his class at Spin City and a pizza party from the Garlic Knot.

Mrs. Carter, thank you for caring so much about your students and being such a great role model for them each day.
