According to a Facebook post from Pueblo Independent News, this isn't the first time that this creature has been spotted in the Steel City as it seems that the animal has been wandering around the Belmont neighborhood for a while.

Some suggestions as to what the animal might be have included animals like a badger, wolverine, opossum, raccoon, and yes, even bigfoot.

However, despite the fact that no one seems to be able to identify the species of this odd-looking animal, many agree that it does appear to be injured based on the red spots around its eyes and face and animal control and local authorities are keeping an eye out for the creature not just for its own safety, but the safety of local pets as well.
