This year's festival took place on Saturday, February 18th, and saw the arrival of quite literally thousands of golden retrievers of all ages and sizes take over the town's downtown area.

While the festival only lasted two hours this year beginning at 11 a.m. and wrapping up at 1 p.m., that didn't stop the hordes of dog lovers and their friendly golden companions from showing up and having a good time.

While the main festival on Washington Street was the main attraction, the town of Golden had both pre-parties and after-parties at various dog-friendly establishments around town, and before Goldens in Golden wrapped up, attendees, both human and canine, gathered to take a photo together, an annual tradition.

The Goldens in Golden Festival typically takes place in early February in conjunction with National Golden Retriever Day and while you make a note on your calendar for next year, keep scrolling to check out some adorable highlights from this year's festival.
