Coloradans List Ideas to Introduce First-Timers to the State

From the Front Range to the Western Slope and everywhere in between, there is no shortage of amazing places to visit all across the state of Colorado. Some of these places are manmade such as restaurants, some are natural wonders, and there are even some towns that are simply recommended altogether for visitors to check out.

Curious, I posted a question on Facebook asking Colorado residents where they would take someone who has never been to the state for their first time and this is what they said.

Coloradans Recommend Natural Wonders to Visit for First-Timers

First, we'll start with some of the natural wonders that Coloradans recommend for first-timers to visit. Some of the places mentioned include Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado National Monument, Grand Mesa, Pikes Peak, San Isabel National Forest, Sylvan Lake, and Red Mountain Pass.

Coloradans Recommend Manmade Destinations to Visit for First-Timers

On the other hand, many of the responses as to where Coloradans would recommend taking a first-timer included places that were made by the hands of man. These places include the famous Casa Bonita, Bishop's Castle, and The Dark Horse, to name a few.

However, it would appear that the most recommended place to introduce first-timers to Colorado is a bit of a hybrid between natural and manmade and that is Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Coloradans Recommend Towns to Visit for First-Timers

As mentioned above, some of the recommendations were simply towns which include Telluride, Ouray, Steamboat Springs, and Estes Park.
