Running a local business in Colorado is hard in 2024, and that's more obvious than ever as we continue to say goodbye to way too many fantastic local restaurants and businesses, including this fantastic family-owned Pizza Restaurant.

Popular Family-Owned Colorado Pizza Restaurant Permanently Closed

After years of serving up awesome slices and creating memories, a beloved family-owned pizza restaurant in Colorado has now closed its doors permanently. Known for its great location, fun atmosphere, tasty pizza, and more, this closure has certainly left people hungry for more.

Since 2016, this local pizza favorite served up hot fresh pizza, and drinks from its bar, and every time we'd eat there, or just drive by, it looked busy. That's why we were surprised to see that they were no longer open for business.

Peel Handcrafted Pizza In Frederick, Colorado, Closed For Good

Created and opened by John Hepp and his family, Peel Handcrafted and Wood-Fired Pizza in Frederick, Colorado, was born. Peel was so popular that just years after opening, it moved into a bigger space just next door of the original location.

Now, less than a decade after opening its doors, Peel announced that they'd be closing down for good as of this past Sunday, September 15th. In a message on their Facebook page, the Peel Pizza Team said:

It's with mixed emotions that we announce Peel Handcrafted Pizza will be closing our doors on September 15th, 2024. We have cherished every moment serving you, our incredible community, and we're deeply grateful for your support over the years

While there wasn't a reason given for the closure, they did announce that a new restaurant would soon occupy its former Downtown Frederick location. As someone who lives in the Carbon Valley Area, we enjoyed this place and are sad it's leaving. If you like local pizza spots around Colorado, check this place out...
