We're pretty lucky to be able to live in the state of Colorado. One of the many reasons is for the iconic music venue known as Red Rocks. People from all over the world flock to this natural music venue every year to see their favorite artists perform.

Red Rocks is pretty relaxed when it comes to things you can bring into the venue. I don't know of any other venue that will allow you to bring food, stadium seats, small coolers, and sealed non-alcoholic beverages into a concert. At Red Rocks, that's allowed.

One Surprising Item is Banned at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

There is an item you might be carrying right now that is banned from entering Red Rocks and you don't even realize it. This is an item I don't carry regularly, but I had it in my pocket during my visit to Red Rocks this past weekend. This one item isn't banned at any other venue, so I was kind of surprised to find this out when I was in line to get into a concert.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre states on its website that there are a handful of items that cannot go with you into the venue. Things like tarps, drones, glass bottles, laser pointers, and more are all understandable. However, chewing gum is on the list of items that are prohibited inside of Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

I overheard one of the security guards who was checking guests into Red Rocks say that chewing gum isn't allowed into Red Rocks partially due to the raccoons in the area. I guess raccoons really love chewing gum. However, chewing gum isn't made for raccoons.

One of the other reasons why chewing gum is not allowed inside of Red Rocks is that some people are careless enough to just toss it on the ground and it can be a nightmare to get off the concrete or even worse, those iconic red rocks that are millions of years old. The next time a concert takes you to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, be sure to leave the chewing gum in your car as it is a banned item inside of the one-of-a-kind Colorado music venue.
