Before anyone knows it, the 1990s will be forty years ago; Coloradans who enjoyed those 10 years before the year 2000 need to get to Denver.

2025 will mark 35 years since we were in the 1990s, when things were just more innocent than today. We didn't really have the internet, Facebook, Tik Tok; all of that. If anything we need to take the younger generation to this to show them our past.

Think about how much the world has changed since then.

The 90s: Last Decade Before the Future in Denver

I was 23 through 33 during the 1990s; I drove a crummy car and then better car, I had a decent (not great) job, and began working here at the radio station in latter portion of the decade. Where were you during the 90s?

History Colorado's 90s exhibit, "The 90s: The Last Decade Before the Future," runs through October of 2025, so it gives us all plenty of time to spend the $15 for ticket to the past.

The exhibit looks to be worth every penny of that ticket price, too. Each year has its own section where you can dive into what was happening; the O.J. trial, the tearing down of the Berlin Wall (they have an actual piece of the wall,) "Seinfeld," clucky computers, Grunge music, and much more.

You'll stroll through the exhibit with your smart phone in your pocket or purse, wondering how we ever made it out and into the 2000s.
