It's huge news for not only Denver Broncos fans but for Colorado State University fans and fans of inspiration, as well. The NFL Hall of Famer and Broncos legend is now a part of CSU.

Terrell Davis has inspired millions of people with his story of hard work leading to success; it only makes sense that Colorado State would look to him to help encourage not only athletes at the university but all students enrolled there.

It does seem weird: First, Deion Sanders comes to CU to be its head coach, now CSU brings on Terrell Davis to be its newest "Rambassador."

His first endeavor at being a running back ended when that college closed up its entire football program. Then, after a successful career as a Georgia Bulldog, he was picked at only 196 in the 1995 draft by the Denver Broncos.

Terrell's exceptional seven-season NFL career includes being Denver's all-time leading rusher, a Super Bowl MVP, and a league MVP. He was gold-jacked from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 and created the "Mile High Salute."

All of Colorado loves the man; having him join CSU just feels right.

What is Terrell Davis' 'Rambassador' Position at Colorado State?

In early 2024, Colorado State University began a new program, their "Presidential Executive in Residence" program:

...to engage top professionals from a cross-section of industries and disciplines in advisory roles and to provide direct connections for students and the broader campus community.

According to CSU, the program advances excellence at CSU by bringing in renowned experts who have achieved extraordinary things in various fields. Appointees to the program serve for designated periods and receive donor-funded stipends for their work with the university.

A Temporary But Fulfilling Job for Terrell Davis at CSU

Davis will serve for one year, being the second executive the program has had; MLB Broadcaster, and CSU Alum, Jenny Cavnar was the program's first executive "Rambassador."

Though Cavnar and Davis both come from the sports world, "CSU Athletics Rambassadors" not only get involved with CSU's 16 sports programs but also with all students, speaking with the students, engaging with the media, attending university events, and working with donors and stakeholders to secure new sources of support.

It will be good to see TD on campus and on the sidelines at Canvas Stadium.
