This Great Colorado Farmers Market Comes With 8 Events, Including ‘Christmas in July’

It's great to spend time at a farmers market in the summertime: The smells, the sights, the activities going on. You can score great bargains while you gather items for the week ahead. This famers market in Colorado has added some events to the mix.

You're generally not only going to find food items at your local farmers markets, but also things for the home, such as decorations, candles and other handmade items. They are way to stay connected your local community; shop local, meet folks, brighten your home.

From the first weekend of June through the last weekend of September, Loveland, Colorado, holds its annual Farmers Market at Fairgrounds Park in Downtown.

There will be 17 Farmers Market Sundays in Loveland, featuring over 50 vendors each week, along with live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and an Artist Market on the last Sunday of each month.

The markets will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. June 4 through September 24, 2023. It's great to get over there, enjoy the market, and take a stroll around the park, including a little dip in the Big Thompson River.

8 DATES TO KEEP IN MIND FOR LOVELAND'S 2023 FARMERS MARKET:

• June 4: Bike Day in honor of Walk & Bike Month; customers that ride their bike to the market will get $5 in Market Bucks to spend at any vendor.
• June 18 -&- July 23: is Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas Day with drinks served from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. by CopperMuse Distillery and Sweetheart Winery.
• July 2: Red/White/Blue Day will include red, white and blue themed products as we gear up to celebrate Independence Day.
• July 30: "Christmas in July" Artist Market will allow you to get a jump start on holiday shopping while supporting local artisans and finding unique and small-batch items.

• Aug. 13: Kids Daze will be even bigger this year as they partner with Children’s Entrepreneur Market to include several kids-run business vendors. This day will also include favorites from Watermelon Daze including the watermelon eating contest and Loveland Aleworks will be serving a themed drink that day.
• Sept. 10: The fourth annual Honey Festival includes a variety of honeys, mead tasting, busy bee kids’ zone, demonstration bee-hive, beeswax products and bee-themed goods.
•  Sept. 24: The final extra event of the season will be "Apples, Artists and Autumn" for the last market, and will include several apple themed activities and games and hard apple cider.
