The Sustainable Living Association's annual event gets better every year, as they work to spread the word about the Earth's climate crisis, while having a day of fun festivities.

There's no question that there are those out there that don't feel that the Earth's climate is in crisis-mode; but, if that's what they want to believe, that is their right. Fort Collins' Earth Day Celebration is about loving the Earth and looking at ways to make it, and its climate better.

Get Inspired, Take Action at Earth Day in Fort Collins

Earth Day has been happening around the world in 1970; 2025's celebration will mark 55 years of communities coming together to become inspired, and find ways to take action. Fort Collins' event will mark the city's 15th time around the sun, celebrating.

  • Civic Center Park, Fort Collins.
  • 11:00 a.m. - 5 :00 p.m.
  • Free admission (Please bring a donation for the Food Bank of Larimer County)

Civic Center Park that day will be filled with an assortment of Earth Day events and activities, including informational booths and displays, speakers, arts & crafts, kids activities, live music, a farmers market and a beer garden.

As part of the event, Sustainable Living Association is also holding a contest for young people, where they can submit what they want "the future to look like." 

Kids can submit stories, essays, poems, songs or artwork, for the chance at prizes and their works to be shown at the celebration.

The Poudre River just might be the heart of Northern Colorado. It flows from near the Continental Divide to the plains of Weld County, feeding a watershed that sustains wildlife, agricultural pursuits and recreation of all sorts.
