So far this NFL offseason and the beginning of the free agency period, your Denver Broncos are "buyers" in the market. Seemed like it would be forever - thanks to one Russell Wilson and that debacle of a trade - that we would be welcoming some quality free agents to Denver.

But it would appear that head coach Sean Payton and general manager George Paton had a plan all along. They've gone out shopping big and beefing up the defense in the first couple days of free agency by coming to terms with a few players you might have heard of before.

This doesn't come without a price, however, as the team is also set to lose a few guys as well. The biggest of those names to ship off somewhere else - at this point - appears to be running back Javonte Williams, who will be signing a one year deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

Williams had a lot of promise as a young rookie before suffering a season ending injury in his sophomore season, never to return to the form he displayed that first year and ending up just 1/3 of a trio of running backs last year.

QB Zach Wilson is already out of town as well - headed for the beaches of Miami to play for the Dolphins, or at least wear a Dolphins uniform as he backs up Tua Tagovailoa there.

So who's coming to town? A couple of really good defenders, the numbers 14 and 15th ranked free agents out there this offseason, respectively.

Safety Talanoa Hufanga has agreed to a three year deal, really bulking up the secondary alongside an already stout lineup that features franchise cornerback Pat Surtain II.

And linebacker Dre Greenlaw also comes to town, himself scoring a three year deal and filling a gap left by the departure of former Denver LB Cody Barton, who's headed to Tennessee to play for the Titans.

Both Hufanga and Greenlaw come to us from the San Francisco 49ers, and as a pair so far have been highly regarded as two of the savviest free agency moves in the entire league this offseason.

September can't come soon enough!

Colorado's Favorite Snacks for Watching NFL Games

Colorado is known as "Broncos Country," but that doesn't mean that we don't love other NLF teams as well. When it comes to "hunkering down" to watch a game, we like to have some food to go with it.
