Northern Colorado School Dress Codes are VERY Different

Northern Colorado is known for their great school system. Whether you're in Weld County, Larimer County, or Thompson, kids seem to love school except for high schoolers because who wants to go to school every day in high school? I sure didn't.

But it's important to note that every school district is different and that's especially true with the dress code.

Let's take a look at the differences between the Weld and Larimer county school district dress code and how they differ.

Thompson Valley (Loveland)

• Tops, bottoms and shoes are required. I feell ike that goes without saying but it's still in the rule book. It also states that privates must be covered with material and the material can't be clear.
• Hats, sunglasses, and bandanas are only allowed with the approval of the administration.

Poudre High School (Fort Collins)

My alma marter. It was a magical time and place where we didn't have to be told to wear some sort of material over our bits. Wej ust knew. Here's what you can and can't wear to school in the Poudre school district.

• Poudre is preety chill when it comes to what kids are allowed to wear. Leggings, sweatshirts, hoodies, hats, underwear, socks, belts, and pants are allowed. Phew.
• Hats and hoodies ARE allowed but they can't cover your ears.

District 9 (Greeley-Evans)

This district is the strictest out of the three. Let's take a look.

• Students are NOT allowed to wear solid red or blue shirts
• Trench coats
• Bedroom slippers or sleepwear
• Belt buckles displaying the numbers 13, 14, 18, 31, 41 or 81.
• Hats aren't allowed and hoods aren't allowed up
