The state with the second highest hourly salary needed is Hawaii at $49.38 an hour, and the third highest state is Massachusetts at $48.59 an hour. These are what are needed to afford a two-bedroom apartment. The state with the lowest hourly salary needed is West Virginia at $19.23 an hour, the second lowest is Mississippi at $20.01 an hour, and the third lowest is Wyoming at $20.76 an hour.
