The bill's goal is to put warning labels on gas pumps and any other form of fossil-fuel across the state.  According to the bill, here is what the warning would say.

WARNING: Use of this product releases air pollutants and greenhouse gases, known by the state of Colorado to be linked to significant health impacts and global heating, respectively, pursuant to section 25-5-1603, C.R.S. Tampering with this label is a violation of section 18-4-510, C.R.S.

About New Colorado Warning Labels

The bill passed the Colorado House and is now moving to the Senate Transportation and Energy Commitee.

Colorado Newsline also says that the font must be in 16-point font and easily visible for gas consumers.

Fox31 says that the pump would need to be on the pump, or at least the container. The focus on the label is for Coloradans to be reminded of the environmental impact of fossil fuel.

Electric Vehicles and Colorado
