Did you Know You Can Drink From the 8 Springs in a Colorado Town?
Drinking water in Colorado is pretty darn good. However, it is always best when you can drink the water straight from the source. There is one Colorado town where you can do just that and drink directly from the spring.
In Southern Colorado, there is a town called Manitou Springs. It is a cute little town with tons of shops and plenty of fun things to do with the family. One of the things everyone should do, but don't necessarily know you can do, is drink from the natural springs.
The Spring Water of Manitou Springs, Colorado
The mineral water that flows from these springs in this Colorado town is said to have a unique taste at every fountain location. Much like seltzer water, this spring water in Manitou Springs is carbonated, naturally. The water comes from cavernous aquifers and the water erodes the limestone. This process is where the water gets the carbonation with carbonic acid. The naturally occurring carbonation forces the water to the surface through small cracks in the rocks and the naturally fizzy water absorbs minerals.
