While most Coloradans think that Denver has a lot to offer, one list of the most boring and exciting cities in the United States thinks so as well. According to Finance Buzz, Denver, Colorado, makes the list of the most exciting cities in the United States.

However, Denver doesn't even rank close when it comes to being in the top 10 cities. Ranking at 17th, the Mile High City is beaten out by other metro areas such as Salt Lake City, Utah, Saint Louis, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Cincinnati, Ohio.

The factors that make up the list of whether a city is exciting or boring include the population makeup, culinary scene, outdoor activities, nightlife and celebrations, and things to do.

How Denver Scored: 53.6 Points

Denver had an overall ranking of 53.6, making it the 17th most exciting city. Another Colorado city made the list, too, but it is neither exciting nor boring. Colorado Springs, Colorado, had an overall ranking of 23.1.

Fort Collins, Colorado, didn't even show up on the list. I can't help but wonder what The Choice City would've ranked if it were shown on the list from Finance Buzz.

The Most Boring City: Jacksonville, Florida

The most boring city in all of the United States is Jacksonville, Florida. According to Finance Buzz, one of the major downfalls for Jacksonville is the culinary food scene. With 54 percent of all restaurants being chains, it doesn't make for quite an exciting place to be.
