A Recap Of Colorado Sports Over The Weekend From Someone Who Knows Absolutely Nothing About Sports
This past weekend was a real doozy in Colorado sports. Did I watch any sports myself? No. Am I going to fake my way through this recap? Yes. Here's what happened over the weekend in the world of Colorado sports.
Baseball: The Colorado Rockies
- The Colorado Rockies played against the Atlanta Braves, and theyyyyyyy lost...again. For the record, I know nothing about baseball, and I also get winded walking to the mailbox, so who am I to criticize any type of athlete? I am fully aware of these things. But shouldn't a professional team win...sometimes? On Saturday, the Colorado Rockies lost again.
- According to a trusted source (Jeff, my co-host), who was at the game, there were more Braves fans in the stands than Rockies fans.
- The final score was 11-6. Which, in my opinion, makes for a kind of a boring game because you don't have the element of excitement. The thrill of possibly winning isn't there.
- Why did the Colorado Rockies lose again? I guess it's because the Rockies have issues with pitching. Again, I have no idea what I'm talking about, but 9News does, and they reported that while the game was a loss, one of their players, Mickey Moniak, hit some home runs. Go baseball!
Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche
- Word on the street (again, my co-host Jeff) is that our state hockey team is pretty darn good.
- The Colorado Avs played the Minnesota Wild in round two of the Stanley Cup playoffs and won. Go hockey!
- The final score was 9-6, and that means the Colorado Avs are not 1-0 in the series. Did I say that right?
Football: It isn't football season soooooo. The End.
