Growing up, there are certain things that sink into your brain that are bad to do. Don't smack your brother or sister, don't pinch, don't steal, don't murder, and don't lie. These are all good rules to follow, and many of them still ring true as adults. Another important rule is not to cheat. There are many different types of cheating in life. When it comes to cheaters, Colorado is home to many of them, but is it the state with the most cheaters in the country?

You may notice above that the state that ranks second was left off. That is because Colorado is the state with the second-highest cheater score at 98.46. It would appear that in Colorado, many residents decide to do their cheating at the store, likely to save money due to the rising costs of everything. Colorado leads the country in every retail category when it comes to cheating. 43% of those in Colorado will skip scanning an item at the store, 28% swap tags or lie about the price of an item, and 25% eat or drink something while shopping without paying for it. Colorado is also the state that is most likely to find a way to hack a rewards system for the benefit of the customer. Some may view these as stealing and not cheating, but those who do these things are, in fact, cheating the system.
