Old Dominion are one of the most decorated country music groups of the decade, with countless ACM and CMA Awards to their credit, as well as nearly a dozen No. 1 hits.

But they don't do everything right.

We sat down with the "Break Up With Him" singers on Taste of Country Nights, and the topic of touring came up.

There's a tradition in country music, where the headliner of a major tour will typically get their opening acts an end-of-tour-gift. This can be anything from watches, to guns, to portable bars for backstage, guitars, cash ... you get it.

The idea is to show your appreciation to the artists who've helped make the tour a success. But Old Dominion admit as a band, gift-giving is not where they shine.

"We're terrible at that. We are really bad," the group insists, "And then one year we were really good, we got everyone like a really nice watch. But then after that we went back to be really bad again."

Lead singer Matthew Ramsey continues, "Yeah, it sucks, we suck at it. But it's always kind of a last minute thing that we're like, 'Oh gosh, we gotta make something happen.'"

Fortunately, they've got some time to think on it. Upcoming Old Dominion tour dates are scattered, with a show opening for Zac Brown Band in November (hopefully he's a great gift giver?), followed by a handful of December shows.
