There is so much beauty in Colorado. There are still many towns I've yet to make it to. This is more of a list I came up with, as I've been to all but a few of these.

How often do you get a chance to check out another town?

I try and get out most weekends, but not as much during the winter months.

What are you looking for when visiting a place?

Great Restaurants, hiking, activities, and the downtown storefront.

Does distance matter?

Not at all. It's all about experiencing new places. Of the six I've been to out of these 10 all have their own charm.

Ouray and Ridgway are the closest to Montrose where I live. They both are fun to visit. Ridgway is cute and cozy with so much mountain beauty. Ouray is just stunning. Named the Switzerland of America. Great restaurants, bars, and lots of hiking. It's the place I will miss the most one day.

Another place to put on your list is Pagosa Springs. You can slide down the Continental Divide into the small mountain town. It sits in the middle of the San Juan Mountains at an elevation of 7,000 ft. Any of these towns are worth the drive and visit.
