Is It Okay To Let Your Kids Play On Your Street [POLL]

Did you hear about the Texas mom that was arrested for letting her kids play on their quiet suburban street?!

It coulda' been me or you for that matter!

According to the story Tammy Cooper and her husband live on a quite cul-de-sac in La Porte, Texas.

As she sat on her lawn and watched her children play on their scooters a neighbor called the cops to report that Cooper was allowing her children to play in the street unsupervised.

Police arrested Cooper for child endangerment, and she spent 18 hours in prison!

The charges were eventually dropped and now she's suing the Police Department, the officer and the busybody neighbor for the humiliating experience.

I'll be honest we live on a dead end & I let Dalton wander all over our neighborhood, supervised of course, but when he gets older I expect he will be responsible enough to play without supervision.And what surprises me about this whole story is that the neighbor didn't go chat with the woman before calling police. . .
