Is It Okay for Married Men to Have Female Friends

I received another great email from a female listener who would rather not be named, needing your feedback in today's daily dilemma!

For the sake of conversation we'll call this women Doris.

Doris's email says,

Is it acceptable that a married man have friends with other females outside of the relationship with his wife, and the wife is not friends with them? Lunches, hour long phone calls, meeting for drinks etc....

Now I am pry the worst person to answer this question, because all my friends are men, and my husband has tolerated it since we were dating. He is the most amazing man & I am the most blessed wife on the plant, but on that note Alex knows all the men I am friends with and I don't go out with them without him. I may take a lunch with one of my closest best friends by myself, but Alex is always invited.

I also know that if the shoe were on the other foot I would not be as understand as my hubby. I even have a hard time with the innocent relationships he has with the parts girls at his shop!

It's not that I don't trust him, I don't trust THEM. Be honest ladies we all know what other women are up to just like men know what other guys are thinking!

So my answer is NO it's not okay, but what do you think?
