Is Alien Abduction a Valid Excuse for Missing Work? [POLL]

Last night I was the recipient of a nasty-gram informing me as to my absence at a rehearsal. My excuse: Alien Abduction. Does this constitute a valid excuse for not fulfilling my commitments?

Sincerely, I have no memory as to the events of last night. This obviously is a symptom of alien abduction. Either that or a side effect of watching "Steven Seagall Week" on AMC. Since I'm not about to admit to watching "Steven Seagall Week," I'm going to save face and claim alien abduction.
