I-70 ‘Hogtied’ West of Glenwood Springs Following Rollover Accident
West bound I-70 approximately a mile west of Glenwood Springs was literally "hogtied" today following a semi rollover. Check out this footage from the Colorado Department of Transporation.
***UPDATE - A vet is on the scene to treat those injured. CDOT estimates 20 pigs are needing medical attention.
Please note - the pigs you see lying on the road are not dead. They are hot. Thankfully, the fire department is working to keep them cool. Unfortunately, some pigs were killed as a result of the accident.
According to CDOT's official Facebook page, crews had to close this section of I-70 until a livestock hauler can remove the animals. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route.
