Hwy 65 on the Grand Mesa Closed North & Southbound

We've got a light snow this morning in the Grand Valley, but if you're headed to the Grand Mesa today be aware that it is closed from Milemarker 28-35.

According to COTRIP.org the road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time due to adverse conditions, but KKCO reported last night that they are doing avalanche control.

Also according to the AP: Eastern Colorado is at one end of a winter storm that stretches all the way to Illinois and there was 17½" of snow on the ground in Monarch Pass.
