How to Learn Sign Language In Grand Junction – Listener Dilemma

There are so MANY benefits from knowing how to sign, that I began teaching my son as soon as he was born!

I got a Facebook message from one our listeners, Israel Davidson, asking a favor;

I have a favor to ask your large audience. I am a 20 something college student learning American Sign Language (ASL) and would really like to find some deaf people or just one person to chat with and learn from. A hearing person that signs would be fine but the challenge of having to sign with a deaf person is the best education there is. I would love to find someone to hang out with once in awhile and hopefully get to be friends with. I don't know if you could share this on your Facebook or on the air. My son began learning baby signing during story time with Kendra Dockery from Little Bird Signing and I know there is a Baptist church in town that has a good sized group and a class on Wednesdays at Western Colorado Community College at 5:30.
