How Did Your Chocolate Covered Strawberries Turn Out?
If you are having problems making the chocolate stick to the strawberry the secret to making them stick is using Crisco shortening about a tablespoon.
I decided to try something new in the kitchen. I love chocolate covered strawberries. Therefore, I thought I would try my hand at making them. I went to the store bought all the ingredients including coconut, white chocolate dark chocolate, pecans, and walnuts. I think they turned out pretty good. I think the secret to making the chocolate stay on the strawberry is the shortening I use about a tablespoon per package of chocolate. The chocolate stays on pretty good. I also use a toothpick to roll the strawberry around in the chocolate. Then I put the strawberries on wax paper and put them in the refrigerator for about a half hour.
I have always thought that chocolate covered strawberries were so romantic not to mention how good they taste. They really are easy to make I think it is just the prep work that takes the longest melting the chocolate in a crock-pot.
Try another batch and see what happens.
