Geocachers, explorers, or sympathetic human beings, please help me find my lost Weeble Submarine!

I probably wouldn't bother you with this, but it has been bugging me for 35 years. It was lost at sea, or more specifically, the ditch behind my house, with all hands on board, somewhere around 1976.

My poor mother, as well as the clerks at the old Woolco in Grand Junction, were pestered to death with my demands to get one of these things. Then, on its maiden voyage, it was lost at sea, or ditch, or whatever the nautical term is.

This search could quite possibly make finding the Titanic seem like kid's stuff. In this case, we are searching for plastic. I'm not familiar with any infrared scanning techniques that can actually locate plastic.

Our search begins in the vicinity of Ella Court and North 1st Street. There used to be a cherry orchard just South of the current location of the shopping plaza at 120 Park Drive, where you will find "The Egg and I" and "Icon Lasik." The ditch almost touched the old sheep ranch owned by the Gormleys.

Considering my complete lack of knowledge in the art of search and rescue, not to mention a total lack of understanding as to geocaching, I am at your mercy. Sorry, but no reward is being offered. These toys are going for about $26 on Ebay, so knock yourself out.

Our search radius is approximately 50 feet. Whereas this used to be a cherry orchard, and the owner was typically oblivious to trespassers including little kids with Weeble Submarines, the area is now residential. I can offer no guarauntees that trespassers won't be shot on sight. Happy searching!
