It sounds like something out of a science fiction movie. The Plague better know as the bubonic plague the one that killed millions of people is back amongst the prairie dogs. There was a concert scheduled the group Phish performing it will go on but no camping.

So far there have been no human cases of the plague but officials are warning people not to touch dead animals, sick animals and to stay out of the area where prairie dogs inhibit. They say fleas can also transfer the disease to humans.

Health officials say if you become sick to contact your physician.

Health officials in Colorado said that the affected areas would remain closed through at least September 6, officials are using insecticide treatments. They are calling it the dog plague.
