Have You Met Grand Junction’s ‘Duke of Main Street’? [VIDEO]

If you've been around Grand Junction for long, chances are you've probably seen the man they call "The Duke of Main Street." Who is he?

His name is Doug, and he's about the nicest man you'll ever meet. He's been around Grand Junction for years.

You'll see Doug at various downtown shops and restaurants. More often than not, he can be found at Hart Music on the 400 block of Main.

You've probably noticed Doug sports a perfect haircut at all times. In addition, he possesses a certain penchant for fine clothing. Personally, I saw Doug a few years ago at Talley's somewhere around 7:00 in the morning wearing a tuxedo.

As you can see from the videos, Doug is a monster shredder on both the guitar and banjo. That's what he gets from hanging around a music store all day. Thanks to Aaron Hart for the video.

Next time you see "The Duke of Main Street", be sure to say "Hi, Doug!" or "Hello Duke of Main Street!" You'll be glad you did, and so will he.
