Have Women Lost Their ‘Mom Skills’?

According to researchers if you're looking for someone to bake a cake or sew your button back on don't ask a mom!

We all know time is the nemesis of all mothers. Between having the time to do everything you HAVE to do & finding time to do what you WANT to do, it's a wonder anything gets done some days. And that's why women with traditional household skills, like baking & sewing, are becoming hard to find. Modern mothers are just too busy to learn them.

Researchers have recently found millions of mothers struggle with skills their moms carried out with ease, but keep in mind, most moms work full time these days as well as take care of the home so it's no wonder skills like knitting & making jam are getting left behind.

However, I don't  think this study applies to Western Colorado, I think we're a little more traditional out here. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I can do any of these things (without my hubby showing me how first, but that's a story for another time).  But I do know women that quilt, can, sew, craft, knit & raise 5 kids!!
