Tonight, the sky is going to make it rain ... stars.

The Orionid meteor shower continues this evening, and what better canvas to paint on than a Halloween night?

The meteor shower, which has run since October 21 is a bit subdued this year because the moon has been shining so brightly, but you can still see them coming down.

Focus your gaze on Orion the Hunter and you will see some amazing sights. That is the constellation from which this meteor shower got its name. The meteors you see are actually leftovers from Halley's Comet.

Meteor showers have always been a fascination of mine, ever since I started calling them falling stars as a kid. It was around that time I had heard the story of Chicken Little, so naturally, I thought the sky really was falling.

A meteor shower on Halloween is just cool. If you get up early on Thursday, head outside and look up because it will still be going. And don't forget to look up tonight, too.

You are not going to want to miss the show up there.
