Do you have a Star Wars fan on your Christmas shopping list? Are you a fan? If so, Grand Junction has a store just perfect for your needs.

I'm not a particular Star Wars fan, but I'm a huge Star Trek aficionado. Earlier today I made a stop at a Grand Junction store to check and see if they had any Trek ornaments. Several have been acquired from this store in years past, and it seemed another visit was in order. They most definitely had Star Trek ornaments, and.... a ton of Star Wars toys and collectibles.

R&S Toys at 526 Belford in Grand Junction has an impressive collection of Star Wars merchandise ranging from the 1970s to the present. Check this out, Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder from "A New Hope."

Now for the bad news. Directly behind the register, they have an original Tie Fighter, X-Wing Fighter, and the Millennium Falcon. In my opinion, these had to be extremely valuable to the collector. Well... these three items are part of the owner's private stash and are not for sale.

While not a particular Star Wars fan, even I got a kick out of seeing the 1970's Landspeeder. Okay, so I'll be 50 years old next April. So what? These are COLLECTIBLES, not toys.
