Remember "Letters to Santa" that ran for years on a Grand Junction television station? It gave little ones a chance to share their Christmas wishes with Santa himself. The show lost its sponsors and disappeared like a snowflake in the Sahara. Wouldn't it be cool if the show came back to TV?

The show was awesome. Little kids from around Western Colorado would sit on Santa's lap to share their Christmas list. For those too young to read, Santa would do the honors.

The show ran mid-afternoon on a local Grand Junction TV station. The show's set was somewhat minimalistic, but it didn't matter.

The video above is from a show like Grand Junction's version. Check out the video, and you'll get a general idea.

For the full effect, it would be best to run the show on television rather than radio. "Theater of the Mind" is great for radio, but in this case, parents want to SEE their children with Santa.

If the show came back, would you watch it? You might have to give up the second half of the Maury Povich show, but that's a small price to pay.

What do you think, should we get this show back on the air? I suggest this as if to imply I have some say in the matter. If 'Letters to Santa" were back on the air, would you watch it?
