The Downtown Farmers Market is one of those things everyone seems to look forward to, and not all for the same reason.

Considering the fact that it's now so much more than just a place to find locally grown fruits and vegetables, The Downtown Farmers Market now offers a little something for everyone.

And it all gets underway Thursday, June 21.

The entertainment at the farmers market is one of the main reasons I love to go down there. You can find all types of music, pretty much on every street corner.

At Fourth and Main, for example, starting at 5:30 you can catch the sounds of Desert Moon, or in the 500 block breezeway you'll find the music of Johnny O'Rourke. And that's just the first week!

Every week you will find new entertainment such as Leah Rachelle and the Bluebirds, The High Desert/Khubsurat Belly Dancers or a variety of things courtesy of the Neighbors Read program, which embodies music, art and more.

And of course the Sunset on the Terrace at The Historic Avalon Theater. Exceptional views, exceptional people and a variety of musical guests, starting with Tim and Richard!

We will see you out there, dancing no doubt!
