Almost 5,000 diners nation wide voted and they have chosen The Cheesecake Factory as Number one.

Wait, that's not fair. The Grand Junction area does not have one of those. So, let's vote on our area's 'Best Casual' eatery.

From Nation's Restaurant News, this is their annual Consumer Picks survey. An on line voting campaign has people choose from more than 170 different restaurants across America.

Now, remember this a 'Best Casual' eatery, not a 'Best Overall.' To give you a better idea, here are the places that rounded out the Top five: The Melting Pot, Bonefish Grill, Red Lobster and Romano's Macaroni Grill.

Here is Wikipedia as it explains the definition of casual dining:

Casual dining[edit]

A casual dining restaurant is a restaurant that serves moderately-priced food in a casual atmosphere. Except for buffet-style restaurants, casual dining restaurants typically provide table service. Casual dining comprises a market segment between fast food establishments and fine dining restaurants. Casual dining restaurants often have a full bar with separate bar staff, a larger beer menu and a limited wine menu. They are frequently, but not necessarily, part of a wider chain, particularly in the United States.
