Grand Junction Senior Theatre Rides Away With Sunset Trail
The Grand Junction Senior Theatre, a company for actors 50-years-young or older, just concluded its 18th year with three performances of "Sunset Trail."
The Grand Junction's Senior Theatre production of Sunset Trail, written by Tim Kelly and directed by Rachel Nelson Fortner, ran March 22nd and 23rd at Grand Junction High School. The ensemble consisted of a cast of 19 actors and actresses, as well as a small orchestra directed by Sandra Moore.
The Grand Junction Senior Theatre began in 1996 with a production of "Frontpage Follies." Since then, they have done productions of "Playing The Palace," "Tumbleweeds," "The Senior Follies Takes a Sentimental Journey," and "Phantom of the Op'ry."
For those wishing to join the senior theatre, and who are at least 50-years-young, your talents are being sought by the organization. Keep in mind, there are many aspects to live theater besides acting. Costumers, set designers, and stage assistants are also welcome to join.
