[ORIGINAL STORY] As a police officer was responding to a report of threats being made near the Prospector Motel, located at 547 US Highway 50, another officer on an unrelated call reported hearing one gunshot fired.

The Grand Junction Police Department report indicated there were no injuries associated with the incident and are now attempting to locate the person who allegedly fired the gun.

The suspect in this case is described as a white male who is believed to be driving a red pickup with oversize tires.
