Grand Junction's Mesa Mall is helping spread the word about safety to children and adults with a free Mesa County Safety Fair today (Feb 21).The fair has 27 interactive and informational booths throughout Mesa Mall all designed to help children, in a fun way, understand safety at home, school and the community.

Kids can also meet the people, see close-up and explore the equipment used help keep themselves and the community safe. They can also see what it takes to provide emergency services.

While the event is geared towards children, people of all ages will find the fair both fun and informational.

The free event is 9am-3:30pm today (Feb 21) at Mesa Mall.
