The lucky residents of Boulder now have their own unofficial jingle. When can we get one over here on the Western Slope?

The Joneses have a jingle, and we don't. Do we need to keep pace with the Jones family next door? There's plenty to praise over here on this side of the mountain. Should we make a healthy list of our blessings and put them to a song?

Okay, so the couple performing this Boulder tune smile way too much. They're obviously happy about living in Boulder, but the rainbow socks are pushing it. We don't have to go quite that far.

The artists, Boulder natives Jeff Kagan and Paige Doughty, have been seen performing around the area for some time. They took it upon themselves to compose a jingle for the community they love. Take a listen, and you'll probably agree they did an excellent job.

Should we do something similar in Grand Junction? Perhaps the powers-that-be could recruit the gentleman you see shredding an acoustic guitar while jamming outside of Domino's Pizza on North Avenue.

Maybe we could hit up Jeff Pine or Gary Smith, or one of the other local songwriter/performers to put something together.

What do you think? Should Grand Junction commission an unofficial jingle, and perhaps a video to go with it?
