Grand Junction Girl Asks for Donations Instead of Gifts for Her Birthday
One of my friends and a listener posted on Facebook this past weekend that her niece didn't want gifts for her birthday, she wanted people to donate to the Roice Hurst Humane Society instead!
I keep saying it, and I'll say it again! Grand Junction has the BEST community ANYWHERE!
Most kids LOVE pets, but Haley (pictured in pink) LOVES them so much that when she turned 9 this past weekend she asked her friends to bring donations for the Humane Society in lieu of gifts!
Which is perfect timing because October is "Adopt A Shelter Dog Month" and the Humane Society is running their fall fundraising campaign to help local homeless pets by
providing a safe haven for abandoned and relinquished pots until their 'forever' home is found
You can step up to the plate & make a donation of food, blankets or toys at their facility at 362 28 Rd in Grand Junction or you can purchase a "Paw" at any of their sponsors locations or their website for just a $1 and help support the cause!
