Snow In Grand Junction, Colorado For Thursday Morning, December 29, 2022

Here in Grand Junction we received a couple of inches of snow. While not enough to cause any major problems, roads are a bit slippery, and traffic is moving a bit slower.

As you make your way through town, take a good look at the area's snow, and then compare it to some of the locations pictured below. This is a matter of opinion, but to my eye, if you were to drive through Debeque Canyon right now, it wouldn't look much different than it does in a couple of pictures below taken almost 70 years ago.

Many of the photos featured in the galleries below were taken in the 1940s and 50s. Like always, keep your eyes open for familiar landmarks. While you're at it, pay close attention to the people. It's amazing how often people recognize someone from the photos.
