I Thought There Had Been an Accident

When rolling through 5th and Colorado back in September, a person stood in the right lane directing traffic to the other side. My first assumption was it was an accident.

Didn't Take Long to Figure it Out

Before long I spotted the checkered blue and white shirt accompanied by a funky hairdo, and before long, even I figured it out.

Tried to Approach - No Such Luck

During a lull in the excitement, I approached the crew to see if I could get some photos and an opportunity to speak to Fieri. They wanted no part of that. One of the film crew promptly offered me the "get lost" signal.

Waylon in Stealth Mode

I couldn't approach, so I fell back on the next best option, Paparazzi. Armed with my dumbphone, the kind that comes free with any new activation, I engaged in a poor man's undercover and highly unauthorized photo shoot. If nothing else, I did get a few decent shots of his car.

The Episode Featuring Grand Junction Airs This Friday

As it turns out, Fieri was in town on September 9 to visit several restaurants, including  Taco Party. The footage from his visit will air this Friday, December 17, 2021.

Taco Party posted on Facebook yesterday, "This Friday 12/17, tune into #DDD on Food Network at 7 pm Mountain time for 'Chicken Across The Globe' featuring the @tacopartygj Fried Chicken Taco!"

Call your friends and neighbors. Grand Junction is about to be on worldwide TV, and in this case, for a desirable reason.

When this info was first published back in September, I mentioned looking forward to seeing the finished product. Well, the wait is over. We all get to see it this Friday.
