Lane Woodrich, 21, and his bride-to-be, Lindsay, will be united to the tune of a composition combining Mendelssohn's traditional wedding march and the instantly recognizable Marine Hymn.  Imagine if you can, "From the Halls of Montezuma, to the Shores of Tripoli" interspersed with "Here comes the bride, all dressed in white."

It just so happens this score was composed specifically for Lane and Lindsay's wedding.  Of course, it is no coincidence the composer in question is Lane's father, Dennis Woodrich.  Over the last five decades, the elder Woodrich has been known throughout the world of music as the bandleader and arranger for the group The Righteous Brothers.  As a matter of fact, it was Woodrich who arranged the Righteous Brothers epic recording, "Unchained Melody." Woodrich also worked and toured with Country artist Glen Campbell for a number of years.  Recently, Woodrich's primary focus has involved composing and arranging music.

The world premier of this wedding score will be this Saturday.  Performers for this event will be Melba Weuben and  Dr. Paul Wueben on violin, Liz Kingston on viola, Noelle Goslee-Smith on cello, and yours truly, Waylon Jordan on bass.
