Country Jam 2013: Getting to Know Newly Added Country Jam Artist Parmalee

This morning we announced the new line-up for Major Mortgage Country Jam. Gary Allan, Florida-Georgia Line, Dustin Lynch and new artist Parmalee. Parmalee is new to the country music scene so lets get to know them a little better.

Parmalee is a band made up of a few guys from Greenville, North Carolina. Brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, cousin Barry Knox and longtime friend Josh McSwain make up the 4 piece band. They set up shop in Parmele, North Carolina and practiced at a barn called Studio B. They added the extra "e" for people who didn't know how to pronounce Parmele.

After traveling around to places like New York and L.A., they finally took the advice of every person they ran into, and went to Nashville. This is where they got their first start as a country rock band.
