Garth Brooks Adds a 9th Show in Denver

Well it started out with Garth Brooks playing two shows at the Pepsi Center in Denver. When tickets went on sale this morning (Friday, January 16th) at 10:00, KEKB rapidly starting receiving calls from Garth's management informing us more shows were being added. As of 11:00 AM today, instead of two shows in Denver, the tally came in at nine shows. In the process, Garth has shattered his previous record for ticket sales in Denver.

That's right, Garth Brooks is now playing nine shows at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. Shows range from matinees to late night shows.

Earlier today, Garth's management issued a statement indicating Garth had shattered his previous record for tickets sales in Denver. As of 1:05 PM, just three hours and five minutes after tickets went on sale, Garth had sold a total of 140,000 tickets to the Pepsi Center.

If you crunch the numbers, that's 140,000 tickets in a total of 185 minutes. That breaks down to:

140,000 divided by 185 = 756.75 tickets per minute, or 12.6 tickets per second.
