Sales of garlic are up after a small town in Western Serbia issued a Public Health Warning that a local Vampire was back out on the loose. I think this town thinks the 'Twilight' Saga is a documentary!

The notorious vampire ,Sava Savanovi, has haunted a small town in Western Serbia for centuries. Its said that he has lived in an old mill outside the town and when people would come to mill their grain, he would kill them and drink their blood.

People have stayed away from the mill for centuries, except a family who bought the property the mill sits on. They then used it as a tourism gold mine. They wanted to do some repairs on the mill but were afraid that changing some things in the mill might anger the vampire. So they left it as it stood. Now it stands no more. Because of the lack of construction and maintenance the mill has fallen.

Now the town is scared because its rumored that Savanovi is on the loose looking for a new home. Even Mayor Miodrag Vujetic released a statement saying "People are worried, everybody knows the legend of this vampire and the thought that he is now homeless and looking for somewhere else and possibly other victims is terrifying people. We are all frightened."

He also added that the rest of the world may be laughing at this small town, but they know its real and are taking precautions. The mayor has asked that every home put garlic above the front door and holy crossed in each room.
