Fruita Is One Of The Best

Congratulations to Fruita. Named one of the Top Ten safest places to drive in Colorado.

According to this story from KKCO, the results from a report from Consumer Affairs and information from the National Highway Transportation Safety Association, put Fruita near the top.

Fruita consistently finished in the top ten in several categories. Including the least number of fatalities from driving under the influence, distracted driving and speeding.

Lt. Dave Krouse, from the Fruita Police Department stated teaching traffic safety is very important and that the department is very involved in educating the community, including the teenage drivers and then having those elements be put to use on the roads.

So, stand up Fruita! Unless, of course you are driving. And take a bow.
